Navigating the NICU for Doulas
Supporting Families Before, During, and After a NICU Stay
2 Sessions
4 Self-Paced Modules
Age 18+
Why Was This Created...
One in ten births in the US will require a NICU stay and for most families it is completely unexpected.
Are you a doula or infant support professional looking to deepen your understanding of the NICU experience? We're excited to invite you to our upcoming virtual class, Navigating the NICU: Supporting Families Before, During, and After a NICU Stay. NICU families often feel overwhelmed, alone and left out of the "normal" postpartum experience. By better understanding the unique needs of these families and their babies, we can create an even more supportive and inclusive environment in which they can heal and thrive. In this comprehensive course, you'll gain invaluable insights and tools to better support NICU babies and their families.
Who This Is For...
Birth doulas, postpartum doulas, infant care specialists and other support professionals who want a more comprehensive understanding of the NICU experience and tools to better support NICU babies and their families both in the NICU and beyond.
Upon completion, participants will be eligible for 4 hours of continuing education through the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA).
